Davis has people coming over to his apartment later that night to see images from the Mars Spirit Rover and despite moving in three years earlier, he still hasn't unpacked. Tru volunteers to help Davis and finds out that Jack has also offered to help. Jack brings in the body of 19 year-old Melissa Sumner, who asks Tru for help. However, the day stays exactly where it was at and absolutely nothing changes. She tells David and finds him equally as puzzled as she is. As they look over the body Davis wonders if maybe Tru was imagining things. Tru knows what she heard and wonders if she'll ever rewind again or if she did something wrong. Davis tries to convince Tru that isn't so by telling her maybe there's a reason for this specific case when the girl's parents come in. Tru asks the parents if anyone could have done this to their daughter and they tell her there isn't, she had a brilliant future. Tru goes to leave the morgue to investigate when Harrison comes in apologizing for not picking her up. Tru interview people who knew Melissa, learning that she was constantly busy with school and very goal oriented. At Davis' apartment Tru tells him that she didn't find out much of why anyone would want to hurt Melissa. She and Jack look through his books, finding that most of them are about death. Jack finds a picture of a woman on a boat and upon further questioning from Tru and Jack, Davis reveals that they were once together but aren't anymore. While walking home Jack questions Tru about how well she knows Davis. Again at the morgue, Tru asks Melissa what's going on when Jack brings in a man who committed suicide. All that they find on the man are a bunch of business cards and a note. He asks for help and Tru's day finally rewinds. Tru calls Davis to tell him what's up but makes it to the morgue first, finding only Jack there. Jack echoes a statement he made before the day rewound about Tru not knowing Davis very well so she decides to investigate the picture of the woman from Davis' apartment. When Tru leaves to investigate an address found on the man Jack asks Davis if he knew a woman named H. Clarke since Tru was searching for her on the computer. H. Clarke was the woman in the picture. Tru insists on borrowing Harrison's car since she knows he won't pick her up. To prove he can be reliable Harrison offers to help Tru. Se's reluctant but gives him Melissa's information so he can find out as much as he can about her. He tracks her to a math class where she's a teaching assistant. He approaches her and begins to talk to her, trying to charm her so he can get to know her. Harrison checks in with Tru and she guesses that he tried asking Melissa out. Tru is checking on the second person and finds him on the phone with his wife, saying that he's in Hong Kong. Telling him she's from the bank he tells Tru that he's got everything under control. Harrison tracks Melissa to a rooftop where she goes to be alone. Tru, meanwhile, is trying to get Geoffrey to straighten himself out by threatening to tell his wife. Melissa tells Harrison that she's been using her math skills to help with gambling. She lost her tuition money and is playing so she can get the money back. Geoffrey says he only needs one good streak and Tru says she's his good luck charm. The poker game begins and Melissa does well. Tru and Harrison begin theorizing and believe that Geoffrey killed himself when he lost to Melissa, who was robbed and killed for her winnings. The game continues, this time with Harrison winning. Melissa asks Harrison if he can loan her the money but he says no and she leaves. With Melissa out of the game, Harrison now has to let Geoffrey win. Jack goes to see H. Clarke and finds Hope Clarke, who the boat at the marina is registered to. Hope tells Jack that he daughter Haley bought it. Hope asks Jack what he's there for. The game ends with Geoffrey winning and Tru and Harrison telling him to cash out. Geoffrey decides to go home to his wife and thanks Tru for her help. Harrison decides to go and find Melissa to apologize as Tru tells him he did good that day. At the morgue Tru brags about Harrison to Davis. Tru feels like there's unfinished business with Geoffrey though and that he reminds her of Harrison. When she calls his house to see if he's okay his wife says he's still in Hong Kong. Davis mentions mirror images and says that if Melissa was murdered and Geoffrey committed suicide on day one that it could be the exact opposite on the rewind. Harrison finds Melissa's dorm empty and a suicide note on her desk and calls Tru for help. Harrison tells Tru that a gambler always goes back to the game and she tells Harrison that he'll have to help Melissa by himself. He finds her on the roof about to jump and tries to talk her down. She tells him that her parents worked long and hard to be able to afford college for her and that she doesn't want to disappoint them. Harrison tries to offer Melissa his car and she steps away from the edge of the building. Back at the poker game Geoffrey has won more money and is about to be robbed at gunpoint when Tru arrives and takes the gun, saving him. As the police take the man who tried to rob Geoffrey, Tru tells him he needs to come clean to his wife and she agrees. At the morgue Jack tells Tru that Davis was once married and that his wife is dead. Davis didn't tell Jack this, but Jack says he has an ear for gossip. Tru finds Davis and Harrison in the office at the morgue celebrating. Tru asks Davis about the woman in the picture and Davis decides it's time to tell Tru the truth. Davis says he was married to that woman for a year and that they were supposed to meet for dinner for their one year anniversary. Davis says his car was out of gas and his tires were flat and a crazy woman told him to stop his wife from driving to dinner. The woman was Tru and Harrison's mother and she was trying to save Davis and his wife, who had a seizure behind the wheel and was hit by a semi truck and died. Tru says there are no more big reveals but asks Davis whether Davis is his first or last name. He tells them it's actually his middle name and is about to tell them the whole story when Jack comes in with a pickup from the campus. Harrison and Tru look and find that Melissa did commit suicide. Harrison goes to leave saying that he can't save anyone, not even himself. Melissa's family comes in and Jack tells them that he's sorry for their loss. He tells Tru that he's noticed that she's never been on a pickup. Tru begins to tell him she has but since the pickups were all on rewind days, there's no record of Tru being on a pickup. Later, Tru and Harrison are at a used car lot trying to find a car for Tru. Tru is dosing off as Harrison argues with the salesman. Tru begins talking to a salesman, telling him she works the night shift, when Harrison interrupts and tells her she's giving away too much information. He tells her talking to dead people is her thing and haggling is his. Harrison decides that Tru should pay $2,000 for the car and they finalize the paperwork. Harrison then has to leave so Lindsay can prep him for meeting her sister that night. Davis is nervous as Carly arrives so Tru steps in and shows Carly around the morgue. Carly starts asking a lot of questions, including what someone would do if a body is not found. The two discuss their respective callings and Carly says she's not always sure about being an actress. Lindsay is very nervous Harrison meeting her sister when the two of them run into Jack, who is at the funeral of a friend. Jack invites Harrison and Lindsay for a drink and Harrison goes. At the morgue, Tru talks about how nice Carly was and how well they got along. A man stops by the morgue looking for Carly, claiming to go way back with her, and Tru tells him he can find Carly at her mother's. Before Tru leaves the morgue, Davis suggests Tru's mother did not tell her daughter about the calling because she wasn't sure she could handle it at the time. As Tru gets into her new car, it fails to start. At a new bar, Jack and Harrison are getting along well and begin to discuss Tru and how she lives for the job. Jack tries to dig deeper into finding out who Tru is when she calls Harrison to tell him about her car. She needs a ride home but Harrison can't since he has to get ready for dinner with Lindsay and her sister. Jack offers to pick Tru up himself. Jack says he gets the feeling that Tru doesn't want Harrison and Jack being friends and Tru tells him he's right. Jack tells Tru that he feels left out, being new in town and Tru and Davis clamming up every time he walks into a room. Instead of taking Tru home, Jack gets a call and the two go for a pickup. At dinner, Harrison and Lindsay's sister are getting along well, making Lindsay proud. At the accident scene, the detective tells Tru and Jack that the victim called a bit earlier saying she was being followed. Tru sees that the victim is Carly Anders, who immediately asks Tru for help. Tru wakes up back at the used car lot and stops herself from buying the car Harrison chose for her. She instead picks a small red one and gets the price down considerably. Tru goes to the morgue to tell Davis what happened and he is again very nervous. Tru tells Davis to take his rewind day research off of the computer since Jack has been sniffing around. When Carly arrives at the morgue, Davis once again is nervous and Tru starts questioning Carly. Tru goes with Carly's assistant to the diner and questions her but the assistant tells Tru that no one has a grudge on Carly. She works hard and only took a year off once, about eight years ago, after filming a movie and being on the brink of a nervous breakdown. The man who came to the morgue looking for Carly the day before finds Carly at the morgue and Tru asks them if everything's alright. Carly excuses herself and Davis tries to get her to stay by offering to do an autopsy. Tru tells Davis she plans on following Carly so she can return the purse she stole. Once again Harrison and Lindsay are discussing dinner with her sister and Harrison and Jack go for a drink. Tru shows up at Carly's house and meets her eight year old sister, who asks if she's a reporter. Carly comes to the door and Tru asks her about the guy at the morgue whose name is Peter. Carly is on edge and feels Tru is butting in and asks her to leave, threatening to call the police if Tru comes back. In the parking garage Harrison is held at gunpoint as someone tries to steal his car. Jack shows up and stands up to the guy. The gunman threatens to shoot Jack but can't bring himself to do it and runs off. Tru talks to Davis about Carly thinking she's a psycho and trying to help her. Davis offers to come keep Tru company, telling her she's not alone and that her calling won't drive all of her friends away. Tru sees Carly driving off and follows her. After the encounter in the garage Harrison is freaking out while Jack remains unfazed. Jack tells Harrison that he didn't know the person whose funeral he was attended, he likes to go to funerals of strangers to find clarity. He goes to remind himself that death is inevitable and part of life. Once someone understands that they're free to do whatever they want. Jack tells Harrison that girls like Lindsay are the types to want to settle down with families but guys like Harrison want something more, they want life. Tru follows Carly to a warehouse where she gives Peter some money, apparently more than he asked for. Carly tells him that it's severance and that he needs to leave her alone since he's been around for eight years. Peter refuses to back down, though and Tru confronts them. Peter says he's a reporter for the Sun Times and he was doing an interview with Carly. Tru remembers what Carly's assistant said and realizes that Carly's sister Isabelle is actually her daughter. She tells Peter that if he hurts Carly she'll go to the police. He tells Tru he'd never hurt Carly because of the money and he drives off. Tru calls Davis and tells him what she figured out as she goes back to Carly's and sees her fighting with her assistant Anna, who now becomes a suspect. Harrison shows up two hours late for dinner and acts like it's no big deal. Lindsay is upset because now her sister has left. Harrison tells Lindsay that sometimes he'll be late and sometimes he might not even show and she has to deal with it. She tells him she won't and breaks up with him. Tru finds Anna who tells her Carly is freaking out because Anna got into an accident in Carly's car. Davis suspects suicide but Tru doesn't buy it. As they're talking, Carly takes off in a hurry and Tru immediately follows. Anna talks to Carly's agent who tells her there is no film about a morgue attendant and Davis wonders why she'd want to spend the day at the morgue. He calls Tru and they figure out that Carly's aim is not to kill herself but make it look like she's dead so she can disappear with her daughter. Tru realizes that something happened to Carly that she didn't plan for and that's why she died. Tru goes to the bridge where the accident happened as Carly's car goes over the side and Carly is making the call the 911 about someone following her. As they're talking, an SUV drives up and Tru realizes that since the driver wasn't paying attention, he hit Carly and that's how she ended up in the water. Tru tells Carly that she knows about Isabelle. Carly says Tru doesn't know what it's like to have a secret and have to hide and Tru says that she does. Carly says she told Isabelle she was a mother and she's okay with it, the two were planning on leaving the country that night. Tru tells Carly that she should just come clean but Carly wants to protect her from the tabloids. Carly says she's sorry Tru can't get away from her secret but Carly needs to get away from hers. At the morgue, Harrison tells Jack that Lindsay dumped him. He knows he should have seen it coming since Lindsay constantly gave him chances but e screwed up. Jack tells him Lindsay wasn't a real friend and didn't accept him for who he is. Jack tells Harrison that he's his friend no matter what but gets called away on a pickup. At the bridge where the accident was, Tru has helped Carly disappear. Jack comes up and complains about being called in when there's no body. Jack says that it's a shame about Carly Anders since she had a lot to live for. Tru goes to visit her mother's grave and apologizes for not coming by more often but that if anyone understands more, it's her mother.
1.18 - Rear Window
On the phone Tru and Davis discuss their respective dinners - Chinese takeout and cereal, while commenting on the fact that they have no Friday night plans. Tru says it's nice to have a night off and the two begin to discuss Luc. As Tru watches her neighbor from her apartment window, Davis says that nothing is as it seems and that he thinks Tru has a rather exiting life. In the apartment across the street, the one Tru was watching, a man leaves a message on the answering machine telling the woman that lives there that he's going to find her. Tru wakes up when someone is delivering a package, when she opens the door she finds that it is meant to go to the apartment above hers. Tru goes to deliver it and the man who lives there asks Tru's advice on a girl. She tells him to make sure the girl is ready to date and then take things slowly. Luc finds Tru at the morgue and tells her that he's found a new apartment, it's great but it's in her area. She tells him that's fine and it'll be nice to have a friend there when Jack walks in. Davis notices that Jack put the morgue's address down for his mail and gives Jack some mail that arrived for him. One of the letters comes from a facility Davis knows of and he assumes Jack worked there. He asks Jack about an old friend Davis went to college with and Jack sort of bluffs his way through. At the diner, Tru and Harrison discuss his upcoming meeting with Lindsay to exchange their things after the breakup. As Tru is about to leave she sees her neighbor from across the street on the phone telling someone to leave her alone. The woman wonders if she and Tru have met and Tru says their neighbors. They introduce themselves, the woman's name is Chris Berenson. At Harrison's meeting with Lindsay she gives him back an assortment of his things including silly puddy and comic books. All he's brought is a piece of lingerie that doesn't even belong to Lindsay. Harrison tries to ask Lindsay to take him back and when she refuses he lashes out saying she wasn't the perfect girlfriend. As she leaves, he chides himself for his behavior. Davis is at the morgue calling his friend who worked at the facility where Jack was. What Davis is told on the phone surprises him. Tru is sitting her apartment and looks out the window to see Luc getting settled in his new apartment. Lindsay calls and tells Tru that she and Harrison are officially through. As they talk, Tru notices Chris across the street in her apartment arguing with the man who left a message on her machine earlier. Tru gets to work just as Jack brings in a body that came from the building across the street from hers, a homicide and the victim's name is Chris Berenson. When Jack unzips the body bag Tru sees the man that was arguing with the woman she'd met earlier. Tru tells Jack that Chris Berenson is a girl. Jack mentions that the cops said the killer might be a woman and asks her to bag a pen found on the victim with the letter A on it. Davis comes in wanting to talk to Tru, that it's important. Tru wakes up and the same package is again delivered to the wrong address. Tru goes to the morgue and tells Davis what's going on, he says it could be identity theft, it could be that the man stole the woman's identity and she killed him. Jack comes in and gets his mail. Tru tells Davis about the pen and he begins to research it, she also reminds him that before the day rewound he wanted to tell her something. He says that perhaps the day will stay the same enough for them to have that conversation. On her way to meet the female Chris Berenson Tru calls Harrison and tells him not to meet Lindsay. Luc goes to the morgue and runs into Jack, missing Tru. Tru and Chris begin discussing ex-boyfriends and introduce themselves to each other. Tru tells her that there was a man outside her apartment looking for her, kind of belligerent. Tru offers to walk Chris home in case he shows up. As they walk, the female Chris tells Tru that the male Chris stole her identity and got her into some serious debt. She asks Tru if she sees the man again, tell him she's moved because if she sees him again there's no telling what she'll do. When Chris gets home, Jack walks out of the building having rented the apartment that Luc intended to get. Jack asks Tru about her friend who earlier walked into the building. Tru tells him that Chris really isn't in a place to be dating. Davis calls Tru and tells her that the victim works for a medical supply distribution company and that he called him in to do a presentation. When he gets there they confront him, saying he's not the real Chris Berenson. He tells Tru and Davis that the female Chris Berenson was the one who stole his identity. Tru and Davis do some research and find that the male Chris Berenson is indeed who he claims to be. Davis and Tru decide they should track the female Chris to keep her from killing anyone. Jack calls, saying he's following the female Chris who has been to a jewelry store and then immediately pawned the necklace. Tru asks Jack why he's helping her and also tells him that the female Chris isn't who she seems to be. Jack wonders who is. Before Tru leaves Davis hands her a post-it with the name of the detective helping the real Chris Berenson. Seeing the post-it, Tru is reminded of the one from before the day rewound and asks Davis about the name on it - Tom Forrester. Davis says he's an old college buddy who he hasn't spoken to in a while. At the Waterside Cafe, Lindsay is stood up by Harrison. As Lindsay is about to leave, she runs into an old friend named Randall. Tru confronts the female Chris, saying she knows she's using someone else's credit card. "Chris" says tells Tru she'll give the real Chris his identity when she's ready. Tru again runs into her neighbor whose package she has. Tru wants to avoid him and tells him she'll leave the package around later. Tru and Davis talk and Davis says that nothing Tom Forrester had to say has to do with Tru. Tru tries talking to "Chris" again saying she can help. "Chris" finally buzzes Tru up and explains that the identity theft is easy but now she's in over her head. "Chris" wonders if she pays the real Chris back if he'd not send her to jail. She and Tru go to meet the real Chris and she gives him back everything she took and promises him he'll never see her again. As she and Tru are leaving the diner, she tells Tru her real name is Kathy. Kathy goes to pick up the bill, but Tru covers. Tru later finds Jack and offers to help him unload his boxes as he moves into his new place. Jack asks Tru to lock up the van he was using to move his stuff. When Tru looks for the keys she finds an envelope from the same facility where Davis' friend Tom works. Back at the diner, Chris tries to pay for a sandwich with one of the bills Kathy gave him and finds out it's a fake. Tru calls Davis and asks him if he asked his friend Tom about Jack. Davis says no but he'll call Tom again. Chris goes to find Kathy and Jack lets him in the building. As he walks in, Kathy sneaks out. Tru goes to her neighbor Matt's apartment to give him the package that got delivered to her and finds his apartment plastered with pictures of Kathy, he's been spying her. Tru looks through the camera at the window and sees Chris in Kathy's apartment. Matt's also in there and attacks Chris. Tru asks Jack to buzz her in but he goes too slowly and Tru gets in when another tenant leaves the building. Tru walks in as Matt is attacking Chris and tells him that Kathy is a thief who has ruined people's lives. Matt runs out and Tru asks Chris what he's doing there. Kathy is at a rental car agency and the woman behind the counter calls her Ms. Davies. Tru gets there and confronts Kathy and brings the police with her. Later, on the phone, Lindsay tells Tru she's had a great day with Randall, who she met while studying abroad a few years ago. Tru calls Luc and leaves a message, saying she heard he lost out on the apartment and that even though they aren't together anymore, it would have been nice to be neighbors. Tru then gets a call from Davis who tells Tru he called Tom Forrester again. Apparently Jack wasn't an employee of the facility, which was a psychiatric clinic, he was a patient. He checked himself in because he thought he was going crazy, he claimed he was reliving days.
1.19 - D.O.A.
Jack walks into the morgue as Tru follows, telling Davis that she wants to talk to Jack about reliving days but Davis doesn't think it's a good idea. Tru tells Davis it might be good to have someone to share the responsibility with. Davis tells Tru that she's important to him and she says she'll have to talk to Jack soon. Downtown a man is walking and collapses. Tru meets Lindsay and Randall at the diner but Randall has to leave to go to work. As he leaves, Lindsay hands Tru her cell phone. She reminds Tru that when they were younger they decided that whenever one of them gets proposed to they'd call the other and the first thing they'd say is, "Don't drop the phone." Lindsay tells Tru not to drop the phone. Tru is stunned to hear this and Lindsay tells her Randall wants to get married right away. Lindsay and Tru both agree it's insane but Lindsay thinks she might actually love him and is going to let him know by the end of the day. Back at work Tru runs into Luc, who's late for work. He tells her to avoid downtown since there was a big accident. The two talk about how they always end up in the same hallway at the same time. Tru finds Harrison at the morgue and he tells her that Lindsay left a message and said they need to talk. Harrison thinks Lindsay wants to reconcile but Tru tells him Lindsay is thinking of getting married to Randall. Harrison thinks Randall just wants a green card, but Tru tells him to stay out of it since it's Lindsay's decision. Jack brings in a body, the man who collapsed, there's an awkward silence between Tru and Davis that leaves Jack confused. Jack wonders what's going on and Jack guesses it's about the letter Jack got from the psychiatric facility. Tru tells Jack that she also relives days and the two go for a drink. They talk about how it's nice to know there's someone else out there like them and discuss how Jack had his suspicions that Tru might be reliving days as well. Jack tells Tru that he started reliving days after a near death experience, Tru tells him that hers started a few months back around the anniversary of her mother's death. Jack explains that people used to ask him for help but have stopped lately and he realizes it's because they'd rather go to Tru. Tru tells Jack she thinks what they can do is amazing, being able to help people. Jack wonders about the consequences, effecting things in life. Tru tells Jack that the only people who know are Harrison and Davis. Jack guesses that Tru told Luc and he bolted. She says he's wrong, that she didn't tell Luc. Jack tells that he hasn't told anyone about what he does. Jack gets a page and has to leave. Later, Tru is on the phone with Lindsay who says she said no to Randall's proposal and he said good-bye. Lindsay tells her it just felt like it was too fast. Tru goes to work and Davis notices she has an extra bounce in her step. She tells him she talked to Jack and how it feels so liberating. Tru tells Davis that Jack asked if she ever thought that what they do has a ripple effect. Tru tells Davis that from her conversation with Jack, she's not sure Jack allows believes what they do is a good thing. Jack comes in and finds out Tru told Davis. As Tru goes to help Jack they both hear a voice, the man who collapsed asks them for help and the day rewinds. Tru asks Jack where he picked the body up and they go there. They're too late, though, and the man still dies. Jack feels guilty, he thinks the man died because he initially got the directions wrong. At the morgue Tru and Davis discuss the man who died and Tru tells Davis that Jack is another her. Davis is skeptical, but Tru trusts Jack. Tru decides that they didn't lose this one with the doctor dying, he asked Tru and Jack to "help them" and that they couldn't have saved the doctor, Frank Colvin, if they'd gotten there on time. Tru and Jack go to a workshop where the doctor's son works. They tell his son, Mark Colvin, that his father died. They ask him to come to the morgue to claim the body but he says he'd rather not, they weren't very close. Mark tells them to try Dr. Colvin's office since that's where he spent most of his time. Harrison shows up at the morgue and startles Davis. Harrison starts to tell Davis the good news since he thinks Lindsay wants to reconcile but Davis says that there's another guy Lindsay is thinking of marrying. After some prodding, Davis tells Harrison that the guy Lindsay's thinking of marrying is an investment banker with an Irish accent. Just as he did before the day rewound, Harrison assumes Randall wants a green card. Jack and Tru go to Dr. Colvin's office and tell his receptionist that the doctor is dead and asks if someone can come to the morgue and claim the body. The receptionist mentions a girl named Lily who is waiting for Dr. Colvin. The receptionist tells them that Lily is a waitress who is going to junior college to become a doctor, Dr. Colvin was tutoring her. Jack and Tru tell Lily about the doctor and she's left distraught. Lily leaves a book and another waiter tells them that they can catch her on the #6 bus, the same one involved in the accident Luc mentioned before the day rewound. Tru and Jack race to stop the bus, Jack running in front of the bus to stop it and preventing the accident from happening. Tru tells Davis what happened and Tru wonders if saving Lily was what Dr. Colvin meant. Davis continues to be annoyed by Tru's blind faith in Jack and Tru thinks Davis is jealous. Tru tells Jack she wants to talk to the son again and tells him she can go alone. Back at the workshop Tru finds the receptionist talking to Mark. Tru tells him that his father wasn't so bad, he was tutoring a girl. Mark says that it was because the girl was studying biology, something that Dr. Colvin would be proud of but that he believed his father saw him as a failure since he was an artist. The receptionist starts to give up, but Tru tells her not to. Harrison walks into Randall's office, wanting to talk. Harrison threatens Randall if he uses Lindsay for a green card and breaks her heart. Randall shows Harrison a ring that his grandfather gave to his grandmother, which he intends to give to Lindsay when they move to London. At Dr. Colvin's office Tru helps the receptionist clean things up. Tru guesses that the receptionist was in love with Dr. Colvin and she tells Tru that she always thought there would be time. The two looks through some of the doctor's old charts and find that a woman who believed she was dying is actually going to live. Tru has Grace, the receptionist, call the patient. Tru goes to find the woman and gets a call from Jack. Tru realizes that Jack picked her up before the day rewound when she committed suicide and asks him why he didn't mention anything when they saw the woman when they were first at the doctor's. Jack finds Tru at the house and she realizes Jack wants the woman to die. Jack tells her Nadine, the woman, is supposed to die. He tells her he won't stop her and as Tru goes to save Nadine Jack adds that he won't stop her this time. Tru succeeds in saving Nadine. When Lindsay gets home she finds Harrison there, he got in since he never returned his key. He tells her knows about the proposal and he went to see Randall. Harrison tells Lindsay that Randall's the better guy and she should say yes. Grace has chosen a suit for Dr. Colvin and Tru offers to help in anyway. Lily stops by to return Dr. Colvin's book. Lily asks Grace if she liked the gardenia's Dr. Colvin got her for her birthday, Lily says Dr. Colvin chose them because they meant unspoken love. When Lily leaves Grace mentions that the one person Dr. Colvin wanted to help but couldn't was his son. Tru tricks Mark Colvin into stopping by his father's home. When Mark walks into the house he sees that his father has a large collection of his paintings, he's been buying them from galleries for years. Back at the morgue Tru runs into Luc in the hallway and tells him she wants to start again with him. He's skeptical but she says that this time there's something different. She kisses him and says that they'll talk that weekend about everything. Tru tells Davis that she saved a life that day but Jack tried to stop her, she says Davis was right and apologizes for not believing him. Tru says she's different and she accepts that but she wanted so badly to be alone, she was clinging to the idea of someone just like her and ignored the one person who's always there. Tru says Jack isn't like her at all and Davis tells her it isn't supernatural it's scientific fact, for every action there's an equal and opposite reaction. Tru saves lives, Jack takes them.
1.20 - Two Weddings and a Funeral
Tru and Davis find that Jack's apartment is empty, he's deserted it. Tru and Davis recap what's gone on, Tru relives days to help people and Jack is there to stop her. They figure that he'll next show up when the day rewinds to thwart her. On her wedding day, Lindsay calls Tru very early and wakes her up. Harrison talks about how he's driven women to drink and to other women but never to the altar. Losing Lindsay has made Harrison decide to be a better man, someone Tru can be proud of. Harrison tells Tru that he's looked for Jack like she asked but hasn't found him. Harrison has run into Luc, who Tru has been avoiding. Harrison tells her she should at least try to talk to Luc because it could work out. She goes to see Luc, who is working in the darkroom developing a picture of Tru. Luc tells her it's okay if she doesn't want to talk and she invites him to Lindsay's wedding. Harrison goes home and finds Jack sitting on his lawn. Jack says he came to see a friend but Harrison makes it clear that they're not friends. Jack tries to explain his side of things to Harrison, he says he's just helping fate get what it wants. Jack asks Harrison to get Tru to stop screwing with the universe. Harrison gets an urgent phone call but before he leaves he tells Jack to stay away. At Lindsay and Randall's wedding Tru is reading a passage when Davis walks in. Tru excuses herself and Davis tells her that Harrison has been shot. Tru gets there as Harrison is wheeled in and he tells her if anything happens, he'll ask. Tru is talking to Lindsay and Randall, apologizing for their wedding being stopped, when a woman walks in. She says her ex was the one who shot Harrison but won't say anymore. Tru's dad comes in and tries to comfort Tru. Tru sees Jack at the hospital and tells him to leave, she thinks Jack had something to do with this. If anything happens to Harrison, she's holding Jack responsible. Her father comes in and tells her Harrison didn't make it. Tru runs to Harrison's body, telling him to ask for help. Tru is about to leave when Harrison tells her that she "can't let him win" and the day rewinds. Tru once again wakes up to Lindsay's early phone call and goes to find Harrison, telling him that he's going to die today. Harrison is actually excited about the situation, especially when she hears that Lindsay was there and postponed the wedding. Tru tells Harrison that he was shot by some woman's ex on Bank Street. Tru takes Harrison to the place where he was least likely to be the day before - the library. Davis gets there and sends his condolences to Harrison about dying. Tru tells Davis that she thinks Jack will try and make sure Harrison dies. Harrison's phone rings and he tells Tru he needs to leave. Harrison insists on going and tells Tru that he's been volunteering at a rec center and Harrison volunteered to be a Big Brother. He's helping a kid named Ethan and he got busted for shoplifting. Harrison wants to help him so the owner of the convenience store doesn't call the cops. Tru goes with Harrison but Davis has something else to take care of. Jack again goes to Harrison's but finds Davis instead. Jack tells Davis that he's preserving the cycle of the universe. He says if Tru is helping fate, then why does fate need him? Harrison and Tru offer to take Ethan home but when they find out Ethan lives on Bank Street Tru suggests Ethan's mom pick him up at the morgue. When they get there Tru finds Jack in the crypt. Jack offers to let Harrison live but Tru doesn't buy it. He tells her he won't stand in the way of Tru saving Harrison as long as Tru stops helping others when they ask. She refuses, telling him she can save Harrison and anyone else who asks. Jack says if Tru saves Harrison, someone else is going to have to die in his place. Ethan's mother, Emma, comes to pick him up at the morgue. Tru asks Emma to talk and tries to get some information from her. Emma tells Tru she has a jealous ex, but Harrison and Emma had never met until today. They surmise that Harrison must have just arrived at the wrong time. Davis decides to watch Emma's house just in case. Harrison thinks they're in the clear but Tru wants to keep and eye on him and still tread carefully. She's taking him somewhere safe, Lindsay's wedding. Davis is watching Emma's home and sees her arguing with her ex, who insists that she's seeing another man. Her ex, Donnie, pulls a gun on Emma but puts it away when Ethan comes in. Before Donnie leaves, he tells Emma he's going to find the guy she's seeing. Outside the house Donnie runs into Jack who pretends he knows Donnie. Davis watches them as Jack baits Donnie, Jack sends Donnie after Harrison. When Davis tries to call Tru, Jack takes his phone. As Tru is reading a passage at Lindsay and Randall's wedding Luc walks in. The two dance at the reception while Harrison is miserable. Luc tells Tru that Lindsay called and invited him. Tru says that she promised Luc answers and tells him that she relives days and she helps people. As Randall toasts Lindsay, Luc runs out on Tru. Tru looks around and finds that Harrison is missing. He finds Harrison with Donnie threatening Harrison with a gun. Donnie backs off and leaves just as Davis gets there and Jack watches. Luc is in the darkroom at work when Jack strolls in. Luc starts to vent to Jack, telling him that Tru thinks dead people talk to her. Jack already knows and says Tru told him as a practice run for Luc. Jack tells Luc he got proof that it happened. Jack tells Luc to go see a woman named Emma at 95 Bank Street, she made everything clear for him. Jack tells Luc that he should go see for himself and that he should bring flowers since Emma likes it when someone doesn't come empty handed. Tru finds Jack at the morgue and he tells her that he's glad Harrison isn't dead but someone else has to die today. When Tru checks the darkroom she realizes that Jack has done something. Back at Emma's house Donnie is at the door and walks in when Emma and Ethan aren't there. Emma's left a note saying she and Ethan have gone somewhere safe until Donnie calms down. Luc comes in carrying flowers and looking for Emma. Donnie gets mad and pulls out the gun. Tru gets there and steps in front of the gun, begging for Donnie to stop. Luc tells Tru to leave but Donnie shoots. The bullet grazes Tru but hits Luc. He tells Tru he loves her and she tells him he'll be fine but he dies. At Luc's funeral Harrison tells Luc that he owes him his life and asks Tru if there's any chance Luc will ask. Tru doesn't think so. Off in the distance Jack watches and Tru goes to talk to him. He tells her he takes no pleasure in being right but she says it's her turn to talk. Her mother had the calling and she is not going to stop, she tells Jack it's on. Jack says that this is bigger than she thinks and she tells him that he has no idea what he's begun. They go in their separate directions with Tru saying good-bye to Luc one last time and telling him she loves him too. Jack gets into a car with Richard Davies, Tru's father, who asks what his daughter knows. Jack says he'll start with what Tru doesn't know, that Richard once did what Jack does. Richard says that Jack will have his work cut out for him, just as Richard did with Tru's mother. Jack says he loves a challenge and Richard says he's got one.
