The Shiny Wishlist :

TV Shows: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
I'm the Slayer. Slay-er. Chosen One? She who hangs out a lot in cemeteries? Ask around. Look it up: 'Slayer comma The'.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the best TV show anyone has ever created on any planet of any universe and any reality. Joss Whedon has a supernatural brain and actually achieved perfection with Buffy. The characters are absolutely unique, each of them, even the minor ones, has a complex and original background. The plot is never boring, Buffy makes the most of vampires and supernatural folklore and each demon (or apocalypse) is special in its own way. The action is awesome, and the show contains some legendary fight scenes. Also and most importantly, Buffy is funny. The Buffy talk and the general tone of the show are just classic. I love how Joss' brain works. Finally, Buffy is what brought me to the Internet, it's been my first fandom ever and any time I watch an episode, it just gives me a happy. Buffy is shiny like that.

Actresses: Rachel Bilson
It's all about shoes.
Rachel Bilson is my Real Life idol! I've discovered her as Summer Roberts in The OC, and although I like the character per se, the more I learned about the actress, the more I became a fan of her. First, obviously, there's her fashion sense. She's an icon. And a fellow shoes addict. Nuff said. Then, she's just adorable! You just have to look at her face, it makes you wanna smile. She just looks like the kind of girl you'd try to be friends with in school, you know? Judging from her interview and such, she's also funny, sensitive and clever. I also really love her as an actress, she's talented and I like the choices she's made regarding her filmography. Rachel Bilson is shiny like that.

Mythology/Religion: Vampires
It takes us back to primitive times when we worshipped dark gods as well as light gods. And it's a powerful metaphor for the outcast, and monster in all of us.
Vampires are absolutely fascinating. I will not pretend my obsession doesn't come from Buffy, but it grew way past the show. I started documenting on the subject and comparing the different takes on them that can be found throughout literature, movies and folklore. There's a deep lore around those creatures. I love them for being dark, cruel and sensual and yet totally free to be that way. Vampires are a very interesting abnormality in the fight between Good and Evil, because they're kind of in the middle. Also, I like their fangs! Vampires are shiny like that.

Animals: Lions
The wrath of the lion is the wisdom of God.
Lions are my favorite animals ever. Seeing as I'm not really a pets kind of girl and not even a great animals lover, it's saying a lot. Lions are the only animals I ever had this passionate feeling about. They're so majestic, powerful and... lazy! My parents say the reason I'm so into them is that I was told as a kid I was a Leo and all of a sudden couldn't get enough of them. It may be true but I have to say, my wildest dream is to actually have lions as pets. Yeah. Don't worry, I have a plan to build a huge farm for them and everything. Okay, I said it was a dream! But lions are shiny like that.

Literature: Harry Potter series
Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?
Harry Potter books have all it takes to make great books: quality plot, colourful and extremely well-depicted characters with a detailed background and a catchy personality, screamingly funny yet enjoyable good writing. But what made it such a phenomenon in my opinion, is the way JK Rowling created an entire universe, consistent, original, fun, credible, magical, ideal, classic, sophisticated and so detailed. Reading Harry Potter, you really believe there is a hidden Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross Station, leading to a hidden castle named Hogwarts where are displayed Magic Classes among ghosts and wizards. Which there is. Harry Potter is shiny like that.

Characters: TV: Lorelai Gilmore (Gilmore Girls)
Because my brain is a wild jungle full of scary gibberish. I'm writing a letter. I can't write a letter! Why can't I write a letter? I'm wearing my green dress. I wish I was wearing my blue dress. My blue dress is at the cleaners. The germans wore gray, you wore blue. Casablanca. Casablanca, such a good movie. Casablanca. The White house... Bush. Why don't I drive a hybrid car? I should really drive a hybrid car. I should really take my bicycle to work...bicycle, unicycle, unitard, hockey puck, rattle snake, monkey, monkey, underpants!
Lorelai Gilmore is my TV Model. When I grow up, I want to be her. Sure, she has her flaws but above all, she's a great mom, a successful woman and the funniest person in the entire world. She's so childish, her brain must be the most amazing place to spend the week-end. Full of random, irony, sarcasm, bad wordplays, good wordplays, crazy neologisms, pop references and coffee needs. Lorelai Gilmore's Brain, come for the random, stay because you can't find your way out! I definitely agree with Rory when she says Lorelai is the woman you want to look up to. Lorelai Gilmore is shiny like that.

Musicians: Male Solo: Robbie Williams
I'm quite obviously not the world's most handsome man - I'm the second world's most handsome man!
Robbie Williams is my favorite singer in the entire world. He sings my favorite song in the entire world, Angels. But he sings a whole lot more, and happens to have one of the most amazing voices of the industry. In addition to that, all his songs are super catchy, and he's the best showman since... he's the best showan, period. That guy has charisma coming out of his... mouth. And he's super hot and super cute, which is a good combo. Robbie Williams is shiny like that.

Actors
Elijah Wood
If you cut off your arm instead of going 'Spurt, Spurt, Spurt' wouldn't it, like, go nuts? Or would it go with the beat of your heart?
Elijah Wood has been my favorite actor for a long time. I fangirl him very much.
Ewan McGregor
Actually, I really want to play Princess Leia. Stick some big pastries on my head. Now, that would be interesting.
Ewan McGregor has absolutely everything you look for in an actor: talent, versatility, conviction, charisma, hawtness.
Guillaume Canet
I like to do things passionately, not under control.
Guillaume Canet is french. Guillaume Canet is hot. Guillaume Canet is love.

Actresses
Sarah Michelle Gellar
I have no idea what my body feels like when it's not bruised, sore of stiff.
Sarah Michelle Gellar is Buffy, but she's also many other things, among which beautiful and gifted.
Reese Witherspoon
I'm really tough in my mind. I'm only 5'2 but I think I'm big. And tough.
Reese Witherspoon is incredibly cute. I've seen so many of her movies and I loved her in each and every part.
Eliza Dushku
I relate more to characters who have an edge.
Eliza Dushku is very gorgeous and makes all her characters strong and tough.

Authors/Writers
Isaac Asimov
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.
Isaac Asimov is the best sci-fi writer I've ever read, and I hereby have read most of his books. His universe is addicting and his writing is smart.

Characters: Book/Movie
Sirius Black (Harry Potter)
If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.
Sirius Black is dark and handsome. He's my favorite Harry Potter character. I think I'm a little in love with him! Denial.
Captain Jack SParrow (Pirates of the Caribbean)
But why is the rum gone?
Captain Jack Sparrow is dishonest. Pirate. Savvy?
Ron Weasley (Harry Potter)
I. Must. Not. Look. Like. A. Baboon's. Backside.
Ron Weasley is hilarious. He's also a very endearing character, because of his loyalty and kindness.

Characters: TV
Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
When it's dark and I'm all alone, and I'm scared or freaked out or whatever, I always think 'What would Buffy do?'. You're my hero.
Buffy is a hero. And also just a girl. And sometimes a bitca. But overall, she's an amazingly written character who we learned to know up to the very last episode of the show.
Xander Harris (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
For I am Xander, King of Cretins. May all lesser cretins bow before me.
Alexander 'Lavelle' Harris aka Xander has been the first reason I ever watched Buffy. This character is so funny and kind I sometimes wish he was real.
Anya Jenkins (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
She's newly human and strangely literal.
Mrs. Anya Christina Emmanuella Lame-up Made up Maiden Name Jenkins Harris. You can't beat that. You just can't.

Episodes
Once More with Feeling (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Well, I'm not exactly quaking in my stylish, yet affordable boots, but there's definitely something unnatural going on here. And that doesn't usually lead to hugs and puppies.
Once More with Feeling is a Buffy episode. Made by Joss Whedon. And a musical. What could go wrong with that? The songs are legendary.

Food/Drinks
Coffee
Oh my God. I can't move. I need coffee.
Coffee is what runs through my veins, where people usually have blood.

Relationships: TV
Spike/Buffy (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
A hundred plus years, and there's only one thing I've ever been sure of. You.
Spike and Buffy are an extremely hot couple. Buffy is very shippable and Spike in love is actually cute. And come on, you can just see the sparkles.
Xander/Anya (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
I've gotta say something. Cause I don't think I've made it clear. I'm in love with you. Powerfully, painfully in love. The things you do, the way you think, the way you move... I get excited every time I'm about to see you. You make me feel like I've never felt before in my life. Like a man. I just thought you might wanna know.
Xander and Anya are the two most hilarious characters of Buffy and the most adorable couple too.

TV Shows
Gilmore Girls
Oy with the poodle already!
Gilmore Girls is a ball of random, fun, love, happiness, fluffy, pop, small-town flavored greatness.
